Road Safety Month

In the programme it was highlighted that Road safety is a critical issue with many accidents on a daily basis whereby people are dying on road traffic crashes and many people suffering nob- fatal injuries. More than half of all road traffic deaths occur among vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, children's and young motorcyclist. Road traffic injuries are the leading causes of death for children and young adults aged 5-29. Despite the human suffering caused by road traffic injuries, they also incur a heavy economic burden on victims and their families, both through treatment cost for the injured and through loss of productivity of those killed or disabled. The speaker highlighted the importance of following traffics rule and having knowledge of driving responsibly.
